Truck Farming is the name of commercial farming and fruit farming. The word truck is used because truck means bartering.
What is Truck Farming?Farmers of Truck Farming grow many fruits and vegetables and sell them to consumers or to large processors for canning and freezing. Though some are sold to consumers most of the fruit and vegetables are sold to large food processors. Truck Farming is closely related to Horticulture which is the growing of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Only Truck farming includes only fruits and vegetables.

Where is Truck Farming used?The most common place in the world where Truck Farming is used is Southeast US. The climate is slightly cool in the summer and winters can be harsh so needed help from greenhouses are used.

What do they sell?The fruits that are sold include apples, cherries, and tomatoes. The vegetables sold include asparagus, lettuce, and mushrooms.
